The Invest In Bassetlaw Executive Group is made up of local business people who influence the strategic direction of place-making and place marketing for Bassetlaw and work in partnership with Bassetlaw District Council and North Notts BID.

Rob Holder

General Manager National Trust, Nottinghamshire Portfolio

Rob has worked for the National Trust since August 2022 and looks after Clumber Park and Mr Straws House within the Bassetlaw District along with the Workhouse & Infirmary at Southwell which sits in the Newark & Sherwood District. He is passionate about connecting people with place, and in his current role this is primarily Nature, Heritage, and History. Rob is inspired by the amount of heritage, history and green space Bassetlaw has to offer.

As Chair of the Invest in Bassetlaw Executive Group Rob wants to ensure that the forum brings together key employers to engage them on the current and emerging growth opportunities in the Bassetlaw District by fostering regular dialogue, supporting business growth and resilience, promoting collaboration and innovation shaping business support and skills development, drive place shaping and marketing and ultimately championing the region.

Sally Gillborn MBE,
Chief Executive, North Notts BID

Sally leads North Notts BID, the UKs first ever area-wide business improvement, covering the whole district of Bassetlaw and supporting businesses of all sizes and sectors in industrial and rural areas, as well as four town centres.

Sally is Vice Chair of the Worksop Together town board that oversees the Pride in Place funding.  She has skills and qualifications in marketing, place shaping, economic development and inward investment. She has experience of working in both the private and public sectors.

Sally is keen to ensure that the Invest in Bassetlaw Executive Board becomes the united voice of our businesses in the north of Nottinghamshire and beyond, to maximise opportunities available in attracting investment, securing financial support and gaining recognition as a great place to do business.

Chris Boden-Hook CMgr FCMI Managing Director, Wright Brothers Industrial Services Ltd

Chris joined Wright Engineering as an apprentice fabricator welder in the early 2000s and has progressed to become Managing Director, and leader of the Wright Group, a collection of Bassetlaw based businesses operating across engineering, recruitment, occupational health, IT, renewable energy, and heating, with a combined turnover exceeding £50 million.

A passionate advocate for apprenticeships, inclusive skills development, and practical career pathways, Chris is committed to creating opportunities for young people to succeed, regardless of their background or learning style. He champions these values through his role as as Deputy Chair of the NNSEB Board, and Wright Engineering’s commitment as a Gold Member of the 5% Club.

Having lived in Bassetlaw for more than 30 years, and as a proud dyslexic and father of a dyslexic and ADHD child, Chris is deeply committed to the local community, supporting schools, youth sport, and charitable initiatives. He is dedicated to helping Bassetlaw grow as a place where people can live, work, invest, and build opportunities for future generations.
